- The American School & University Magazine's Educational Interiors Showcase recently announced that Slippery Rock University's Boozel Dining Hall received an Outstanding Design Award in the Cafeteria/Food Services Areas category. The Porter Khouw design team, lead by Senior Vice President Albin Khouw, was the lead foodservice consultant on this project. The lead architect on this project was STV Architects in Douglassville, Pennsylvania.

He also co-presented two interest sessions during the conference; one entitled Going for Gold: The Need to Be Leed Certified and one entitled Trayless Dining. - Porter Khouw Consulting is partnering with Perkins +Will on a student union renovation project on the campus of San Jose State University. The renovated union will include a contemporary and inviting retail marketplace with a wide variety of dining options including a mix of national, regional, local and self-branded concepts.
