Porter Consulting Worldwide was engaged by the University of California, Davis to assist in the development of plans for the renovation of their Memorial Union Coffee House. This venue is an approximately 18,000 sq. ft. retail foodservice facility in the heart of the campus. It handles approximately 3,000 transactions per day on average, and is an entirely student-run enterprise.

Our team was enlisted to assist UC Davis in determining what form the Memorial Union should take upon renovation, then to assist in developing plans for the renovation of this venue. The Porter project team spent five days on site at UC Davis meeting with students, reviewing facilities, and gathering information crucial to the development of plans for a renovated facility that would exceed student expectations. Our recommendations were outlined in a Detailed Project Program (DPP) format and delivered to University decision makers.
